Coronavirus in the UK and Impact on Holidays, updated September 2021

Following the Covid pandemic lockdowns in the UK, on the 22/2/21, the UK government announced their planned roadmap out of lockdown.

 

Is it possible to book a holiday in the UK now?

As at September 2021, there are no travel restrictions for holidaymakers resident in the UK wanting to take a cottage holiday within the UK, you can now book a cottage break in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland.  Individual cottages have their own specific booking terms and conditions. 

That said, the Northern Irish government website set outs that you should take a rapid lateral flow device test before you travel there and should not go on holiday there if you get a positive result.

As always, you are strongly advised to ensure that you take out appropriate holiday insurance.
