Once a Georgian Rectory this stunning property is filled with character and charm and has been recently refurbished to a high standard to offer premium comfort for short breaks and long stays year round.
Able to accommodate 28 guests, this extremely spacious property is situated in the heart of the Frome Valley, surrounded by unspoilt open countryside. All bedrooms have been sumptuously furnished to offer stylish and comfortable accommodation with brass bedsteads, antique furniture, fresh flowers and crisp linens. The large handcrafted kitchen has been designed for the ambitious chef, coupled with ample crockery and a great selection of cookware.There are 2 large sitting rooms and a stunning dining room, which have been beautifully decorated and restored providing a country feel with leather sofas and dinning chairs and give plenty of space for entertaining and relaxing. Five bathrooms have been beautifully restored with traditional suites and fittings to give comfort and an example of bygone days. A double room with en suite is also available, and there is a bedroom downstairs with a bathroom adjacent.
Barrington House is ideally situated for a wide variety of attractions in the Heart of England. Lazy mornings can be spent sampling the delights of Bishops Frome’s own fabulous delicatessen and craft centre, or strolling around hop fields and fruit orchards to the award winning Frome Valley Vineyard for a tasty treat. There are countless country lanes ideal for exploring by bicycle, and the Malvern Hills and their famed spring water are just a short drive away. Also within easy reach are the Black Mountains, the Forest of Dean, the Welsh Borders, the Cotswolds and the River Wye (great for water sports and fishing). Quad treking, horse riding, canoeing, golf and grass boarding can all be arranged for you. Visit some of the many National Trust properties, castles and country homes in close vicinity - among them Eastnor Castle, Hampton Court or Witley Court (15 minutes away!) Don’t miss a visit to Royal Worcester Porcelain, the stunning cathedrals of Worcester and Hereford, Cider museums, cheese and Perry farms in the area.
