We want to help our guests to relax as soon as they arrive, particularly if they are only here for a short break and time is precious.  If you arrange an internet grocery order then we are happy to receive and unpack your goods for you so the cupboards are full on your arrival.  We also have two options of in-house catering services.  You can choose a locally sourced buffet delivered straight to the dining table, which seats 14.  Or arrange a personal chef service to help you select your meal and then cook, serve and clean up for you.  If you wish, in-house “cookery master classes” or “refresher” courses can be arranged as can wine-tasting or, if you really feel like spoiling yourselves, a pamper party can be arranged with a visiting beautician.

Bon Accueil is an award-winning, 5 Star, Gold Award winning Georgian Country House set in 5 acres of private meadowland.  The Main House accommodates 10 (plus 2 infants in cots) while the entirely self-contained 5 star Coach House accommodates an additional 4 - ideal for those in larger groups who may want a little more privacy from time to time.  Both properties are around 25 metres apart, joined across a courtyard by a fully air-conditioned, indoor heated swimming pool.  The Swimming Pool and integrated spa is exclusively available to guests from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm every day of the year but, if these hours don't suit, we can happily alter them by prior arrangement and, for a small charge, we can extend them. Overlooking the paddock, the pool and spa is accessed either through The Main House or through two external doors next to The Coach House.

Within the adjoining meadow there is a small football field, a trampoline and a secure children's playground with tower, swings, jouster and slide.  Surrounded by open countryside but only one mile from historic Whitchurch, Bon Accueil provides a great base for shopping, dining, cycling and walking or for visiting Ironbridge World Heritage Site, Chester, Shrewsbury or exploring the Welsh Marches or Shropshire Lakes - all within a 30 minutes drive away. 

Guests are greeted personally on arrival.  All beds are ready made with linen and duvets.  Cots and high chairs are available if required.  Fresh towels are provided, including bathing sheets, along with a complimentary welcome pack which includes a starter supply of toiletries, kitchen towel, dishwasher powder, washing powder, washing-up liquid and toilet rolls.  Electricity, oil fired central heating and hot water are included. There is secure parking for up to 7 cars within the grounds behind electrically operated gates.

Good places to visit: Where to start! Alton Towers, Snowdonia, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Lots of castles and gardens such as Attingham Park (NT) near Shrewsbury, Wroxeter Roman Town (Wroxeter Roman Vineyard also provides several tasting sessions and guided tours). Other NT properties - Powis Castle, Chirk and Erddig (in 2003 voted second in "Britain's Finest Stately Homes". Ironbridge World Heritage Site. Two 18 hole golf courses at Hill Valley Golf and Country Club in Whitchurch. Three championship courses, two at Hawkstone Park (10m) 01939 200611 and one at Telford Golf and Country Club (32m) 01952 429977. In Cheshire, Carden Park Golf Club (13 m) 01829 731600. The excellent facilities include the Nicklaus Course (home of the De Vere Seniors' Championship), the challenging Cheshire Course and the par 3 Azalea Course. The Pontcysllte Aqueduct is one of the main local tourist attractions, even crossed by Harrison Ford! It is amazing to walk across the Aqueduct as it towers 37 meters above the River Dee and to take in the panoramic views of the whole area. Or go via a canal boat. Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall - it's the highest waterfall in Wales and England. Found in a remote location in Powys and is definitely worth the effort.
